The Luxembourg Institute of Health (LIH) is a key player in biomedical research in Luxembourg. The LIH collaborates with national and international partners and places patients at the heart of its projects.
Open Days Programme
The LIH opens its doors for an immersive day at the heart of medical research. Visitors will be able to discover the essential role of patient partners, follow the journey of a clinical study through a Fort Boyard-style interactive game, learn how to prevent cancer with the EPICAN group, explore the Biobank and its sample preservation technologies, and create a UV bracelet while diving into the fascinating world of the cell with the Department of Cancer Research. The day will be filled with fun activities, meetings with researchers, and numerous surprises for curious minds of all ages.

Attention: The Dudelange – Burange roundabout will be closed from Friday, September 19, 2025, at 8:00 PM until Monday, September 22, at 6:00 AM.
A detour between Dudelange and Bettembourg will be set up on the regular road network via Budersberg – Noertzange – Huncherange – Fennange, according to the plan below.
While the Burange interchange on the A13 will be closed, the Kayl and Hellange interchanges will remain open.
